For incoming 91²Ö¿âstudents, you must first be admitted and activate your network account before having access to the Housing Contract.

Residence Halls

To live in the residence halls, you will complete a contract that is binding for the academic year. You will locate the Housing Contract through your Okta account.

The 2026-2027 Residence Halls Housing Application is Live!

Once logged into Okta.sou.edu, select the Star Rez Housing Portal and navigate to the Applications tab! Select the 2026-2027 Application and begin the process of signing up for housing.

Make sure you fully read the 2026-2027 91²Ö¿â Residence and Dining Contracts below before electronically signing your contract.

Petitioning the First-Year Live-On Requirement
If you are an incoming first-year student who is looking to petition the first-year live-on requirement, you will need to complete a petition. You can find the petition located through our Inside91²Ö¿âaccount.

Once logged into Inside SOU, navigate to the Online Services area (blue square, generally five down on the right side of the screen), click on the Housing Portal link! Select the Petition option under the Applications link.

You will need to upload supplemental documentation to complete this process.

Living in Student Apartments & Family Housing
For incoming 91²Ö¿âstudents, you must first be admitted and activate your network account before having access to the Housing Contract. To live in Student Apartments & Family Housing, you will complete an application. You will locate the Housing Contract through your Okta account.

Once logged into Okta, navigate to the star rez logo with the text Housing Portal and applications under it. Navigate to the Applications tab and select the Student Apartments and Family Housing Application.
